Welcome to Retuned! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Retuned mobile application and related services. By using Retuned, you agree to these Terms.
1 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Retuned, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2 Description of Service
Retuned is a personal wellness application that provides:
- AI-generated personalized affirmations across 6 Life Pillars (Mind, Body, Spirit, Connection, Achievement, Home)
- Voice cloning technology for hearing affirmations in your own voice
- Curated AI stock voices powered by Hume AI
- Science-backed guided breathing exercises (10 techniques including Box Breathing, 4-7-8, Coherent Breathing, Triangle Breathing, Physiological Sigh, 2:1 Calming, Vishama Vritti, 7-2-11 Deep Relaxation, Energizing Breath, Alternate Nostril/Nadi Shodhana) with AI-generated wisdom tips
- AI-powered mood check-ins with personalized wellness paths
- Micro-meditations tailored to your current emotional state
- Ambient sound library with 25+ seamless loops across 7 categories
- RSVP (Rapid Serial Visual Presentation) mode for deep focus
- Progress tracking, streaks, and listening analytics
- Personalized AI daily greetings
- Daily reminder notifications
- Push notifications about voice clone status (e.g., expiry warnings before your voice is rotated due to inactivity)
3 Account Registration
To use Retuned, you must:
- Create an account using Apple Sign In or Google Sign In
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Provide accurate information
- Keep your account credentials secure
4 Voice Cloning Consent
By submitting a voice sample, you consent to the following:
- Your voice will be cloned for personal affirmation playback using our third-party provider, ElevenLabs
- Explicit consent is required before any voice recording begins
- Original voice recordings are deleted immediately after the cloning process is complete
- Your voice model is stored securely with ElevenLabs and is associated with your account
- You may delete your cloned voice at any time from the app settings
- Voice clones that have not been used for 60 days may be automatically removed to manage system resources. You will receive push notifications before this happens, and you can keep your voice active by using the app or tapping the notification
- You may disable push notifications at any time through your device's system settings
Your cloned voice is used solely for your personal affirmation experience and is never shared with others or used for any purpose beyond your individual wellness journey.
5 AI-Generated Content
Retuned uses artificial intelligence to generate various types of content within the app. By using the service, you acknowledge and understand that:
- Affirmation scripts are generated by AI and may not be suitable for all situations or individuals
- Micro-meditations are AI-generated guided experiences tailored to your emotional state
- Daily greetings and mood check-in responses are generated by AI
- Breathing exercise wisdom tips are AI-generated and based on science-backed wellness information
AI-generated content is intended for general wellness purposes only and should not replace professional medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for specific health concerns.
6 Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service
- Upload harmful or malicious content
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the app
- Use voice cloning features to impersonate others
- Use AI-generated content for purposes other than personal wellness
7 Intellectual Property
The Retuned app, including its design, features, and content, is protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your personal content (affirmations, voice samples) but grant us a license to process and store it for service delivery.
8 Disclaimer
Retuned is a wellness tool designed to support your personal well-being. It is not a medical device, nor is it intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
Breathing exercises (including Box Breathing, 4-7-8, Coherent Breathing, Triangle Breathing, Physiological Sigh, 2:1 Calming, Vishama Vritti, 7-2-11 Deep Relaxation, Energizing Breath, and Alternate Nostril/Nadi Shodhana), mood check-ins, micro-meditations, and all other features are provided for general wellness purposes only. They are not substitutes for professional medical or mental health treatment.
If you are experiencing mental health difficulties or any medical condition, please consult a qualified healthcare provider. In case of emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
9 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Retuned shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to damages related to AI-generated content, voice cloning, or wellness guidance provided within the app.
10 Modifications to Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes.
11 Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon account deletion, your voice model and personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We may terminate or suspend your account for violations of these Terms.
12 Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify you of material changes through the app or via email.
13 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with these laws.
